Carlos E. del Rio Endowment
In 2001, an educational endowment was established in honor of Dr. Carlos E. del Rio, Professor Emeritus and former Chairman of the Department of Endodontics at 91PORN.
“Modern endodontics evolved through the dedication, vision and research of highly motivated educators who blended the biological and clinical foundations of the specialty. To maintain this high level of development and continue to grow and evolve as a leader among the specialties in dentistry, endodontics requires dedicated professors to foster and motivate residents on their journey of dedication and excellence in their professional lives.
To accomplish this goal, we must inspire our graduate endodontic students to become educators in our specialty and encourage everyone to support the endodontic program.
An endowment is a means by which alumni and friends can contribute to the future of our specialty and the program at the UT San Antonio School of Dentistry.
For me, it is a wonderful yet humbling experience to have a Chair named in my honor at our Dental School, and it has inspired me to do whatever I can to support the ongoing development of endodontics.”
